In the initial stages of our design process, we do not strive to achieve a particular style or conform to established trends, instead we focus on understanding our client's different wishes and ideas, and then try to shape the space around that input.

In this particular project, our client wanted their new home to have the feel of a classical space, shaped by symmetry and classic proportions, but then to be filled with contemporary furniture and inventory in order to forge that link between different architectural epochs.

This dialectic gives additional dimensions to the design, moving away from the expected and over-utilized "minimal design" into a realm where less is not always more, and ornament is certainly not a crime!
